"Life is a cycle of pain and chaos. you suffer in life, and what do you turn to?... Music.... And why? why do you turn to these things? because you are scared?because you are confused?because you are tired?..." Its seems like ur saying Music and all that other stuff is just way to distract you from whats going on, but, as far as music goes, thats completely not true, because music is used to spread messages and emotions about the things that are involved in your life...but i could be wrong on what you're trying to say, and its just my opinion. Heh, and i'm guessing *heh* thats ur anti capitalism, but this country that was founded on capitalism and democracy, gives you the freedom to openly speak your mind agaisn't it... whereas communist countries do not. Karl Marx was the only "communist" who had the right ideas, not Che, Fidel, or all them..

Ah Thanks for writing my son.well see music can spread messages and emotions, but when corporations start to step in and intefering with the freedom and creativity rock n roll used to have, then we are making a corporation out of pain and "rebellion".

i think youll agree that the birth of Punk Music was inevitable, after the flower power generation,a new generation was aware of what had happened.

more people began to capitalize on that image of a rock n roller who liked to ride motorcycles.being a biker wasnt meant to become what it became, for some riding in a motorcycle or riding down in your new mustang or dodge charger was meant to get away from the worlds problems.to get away from the confusion and anger that the vietnam war and society created.

the generation after the baby boomers

saw hippies as stoned junkies.why should they listen to their messages of love?

now...punks at first didnt want to be part of the corporate rock n roll machine people were getting frustrated of wealthy rock n rollers the young beatles or the young who who came from the streets of london no long identified with the situation of the new generation.

now this is where we get to the music of today...blink 182,simple plan, all that shit you hear on the radio these days thats corporate angst.no one cares about revolutionary ideas, because the revolutionary ideas that came in earlier on no longer exsist, they have been bogged down to suit the ideas and criteria of todays Radio stations.

spreading emotions or ideas through the radio or music is not a bad thing, its a good thing, but if you fail to realize the machinery of where the pain is coming from, then that could be a problem. people make money out of your pain.where does it come from?school?think about it.

im not necasairly anti capitalist,in fact it could be a good thing, but in capitalism you need ambition and greed to survive,vs a socialist society built on love and compassion, true this nation was founded on democracy.maybe it was a beautiful idea at first.but do you not see the division between the liberals and conservatives, liberals think conservatives are wrong, conservatives seem to think liberals are new age heathens.

and what good is the right to speak your mind when no one will listen to you?

do you have a right to speak your mind at school?or do they tell you you have an attitude problem?at a very early age, they mold you to believe what is right,or wrong.

i guess you can speak your mind, after theyve messed with it a couple of times.
